No Bunk Empty
YWCA VT is thrilled to continue our evolving partnerships with Vermont Department for Children and Families, King Street Center, and the Vermont Migrant Education Program to get every kid who might need support to summer camp.
We believe that no bunk should be empty when there are kids that want to experience summer camp! That is why we are working with our wonderful partners to remove barriers of access for kids who need extra support to come to our loving and community-centric overnight summer camp.

Long Lasting Benefits
Summer camp can have long lasting positive mental and social health outcomes. We want to make sure to match kids with the right camp so they are positioned for success.
-
Bridging the Gap
Financial barriers, enrollment restrictions, and transportation all make camp hard to access for kids in foster care, so we support each child holistically to make camp happen for them.

Pilot Launching '24!
The first pilot summer for this program launched right here at Camp Hochelaga summer 2024.
We hope to have all kids in state custody who want to come to summer camp in the camp that fits their needs best by 2027!
