Camp Hochelaga uses a voluntary tiered pricing system to establish camp tuition rates. The three tiers offered are intended to help keep the cost of camp accessible to as many families as possible, while also offering families with more financial resources the opportunity to help sustain camp over time and grow programs and scholarships resources.
Tier A – Closest to the cost of camp for prior seasons, offered in an effort to keep camp tuition as affordable as possible. Tier A does not accurately reflect the operating costs of camp.
Tier B – Accurately reflects the operating costs of camp and allows camp to continue needed maintenance and facilities improvements over time.
Tier C – Covers the operating cost of camp and contributes to the Circle of Girls scholarship program and needed facilities and programming growth! Helps keep camp strong for many seasons to come.
Camp’s tiered pricing system is completely voluntary. The tier you choose to pay for camp will not have any impact on your camper’s experience and Camp Hochelaga will not request any financial verification based on your selection.
For campers staying multiple sessions, there will be fun weekend activities offered at camp for a fee of $100.00. Campers not registered for the changeover activity must be picked up during check out time on Saturday and checked back in on Sunday (the changeover fee does not apply during 2-week sessions or for CITs).
You will have the option to sign your camper up for the changeover activity when you register for camp!
Camp Hochelaga will provide airport, train, or bus pick-up for residential campers during the 2022 season. This will be an additional fee during the registration process.
A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of camp registration in order to hold your camper’s spot in the session of your choosing:
- Residential Sessions: $200 deposit
- Day Camp Sessions: $100.00 deposit
Payment of camp tuition in full is due April 30th
Camp Hochelaga reserves the right to cancel your registration and offer your spot to another family if your account has a standing balance after April 30th.
If you are registering for camp after the May 31st tuition payment deadline, tuition in full is due at the time of registration.
Refund Policy
If, for any reason, your need to cancel your camp registration more than two weeks ahead of the session start date, Camp Hochelaga will refund payments made less the session deposit fee. If you find you need to cancel your camper’s registration within two weeks of the session start date, all payments made will be forfeited.
If, for any reason, Camp Hochelaga is unable to offer the session or spot your camper is registered for you will be issued a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit fee.
The Circle of Girls+ Scholarship Fund
Camp Hochelaga is proud to offer a robust scholarship program with the goal of making camp experiences accessible to as many campers as possible each season.
If your family requires financial support in order for camp attendance to be possible, please contact Camp Hochelaga to be added to the waitlist. Annually, Camp Hochelaga accepts scholarship applications from January 1st to March 31st or until funds are depleted. Funds are often depleted by January so families are encouraged to apply early.
Note as of 2/3/2023: This season has seen a higher than average volume of scholarship applications. Due to this in combination with the fluctuation in funding caused by the pandemic, we are no longer able to offer scholarships at this time for our 2023 season. If anything changes in regards to this prior to the start of the summer, we will make sure to inform our community via social media. If you are not in need of scholarship assistance to attend camp, and are interested in ways that you can help support equitable access to camp for all, please follow this link to our donations page.
