“Remember the times we’ve had here, remember when you’re away. Remember the friends we’ve made here, and don’t forget all our happy days. Remember beside a campfire, amid the mountains blue, that you’re a part of Hochelaga and she is a part of you.”
The mission of Camp Hochelaga Alumni Connection (CHAC) is to create a mutually beneficial relationship, where Hochelaga’s community can connect with each other, with camp, and where staff can share updates and opportunities to offer support. This Facebook group is a place to reconnect, laugh over shared memories and reminisce about long, sunny days on the shores of Lake Champlain.
Since 1919, Camp Hochelaga has been a summer home to girls and young women on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont. In this magnificent environment, the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women reaches hundreds of campers, staff, and families each summer. Whether you were a camper, staff, family member or friend of a ‘Laga, or member of our very special community, we encourage you to share your story and the impact YWCA Vermont and Camp Hochelaga has had on you.
“We’ll meet again, don’t know why, don’t know when, but I know we’ll meet again on Lake Champlain.”
